ARCP 2 Projects Get Underway
12 Units 2-Classroom School Buildings, 4 Day-care Centers and 2 Packages Farm-to-Market Roads Concreting
Under the Agrarian Reform Communities Project 2 (ARCP 2), and through the initiative of Mayor Arnie B. Fuentebella, VM Ruel M. San Gaspar and the local Sangguniang Bayan, Tigaon was entitled to Eighteen (18) Sub-Projects.
This partnership of the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR), the Municipal Government of Tigaon has brought about positive prospects to the infrastructure development of the town primarily benefitting agrarian reform communities in the place.

Barangay Talojongon - 1 Unit Day-Care Center
Barangay Gubat - 1 Unit 2-Classroom School Building and 1 Unit Day-Care Center
Barangay Tinawagan - 2 Units 2-Classroom School Building
Barangay Coyaoyao - 1 Unit Day-Care Center
Barangay Cabalinadan - 2 Units 2-Classroom School Building
Barangay San Francisco - 1 Unit 2-Classroom School Building and 1 Unit Day-Care Center
Barangay Vinagre - 1 Unit 2-Classroom School Building
Barangay Huyon-huyon - 1 Unit 2-Classroom School Building

Procurement activities had already been undertaken for these infrastructure projects that are soon to commence implementation and expected to be completed within Ninety (90) Calendar Days just in time for the opening of classes come June 2013.
Harnessing its best practices in governance that adheres to the mandates and policies set forth that is indicative of accountability and transparency reflective of the tow’s vision statement, Tigaon is just awaiting confirmation from the DILG for it has maintained its status that leveled-up to a Silver Seal of Good Housekeeping Award for the rating year 2012. HANDOG ki LOLO asin LOLA: A Valentines Day treat
LOVE now fills the air. The town’s local leadership under the effective and efficient tandem of MAYOR ARNIE B. FUENTEBELLA and VM RUEL M. SAN GASPAR with the rest of our aldermen in the Sangguniang Bayan slated a date on Valentines Day with the town’s oldies, thus proving that it is really prevalent in the town’s culture and in their hearts, the love, gratitude, praise and respect to its elders.
Instead of the usual fanfare that only teenagers enjoy, Mayor Arnie and VM Ruel, with the entire Sangguniang Bayan thought of another unique way of celebrating Valentines Day. That is offering the day for the town’s elders – our Lolos and Lolas.
As our best way to pamper our elders, dubbed as HANDOG ki LOLO asin LOLA: a Valentines Day treat, the event is set to start One o’ clock in the afternoon of the 14th of February with the following lined-up activities: Free Medical Check-up, Free Optical Check-up, Free Hair and Beauty Services, Games for the Oldies, Videoke Challenge, Dinner Date and a Variety Show that showcases local talents – The Tig-aw Dance Company, the San Rafael National High School Special Program in the Arts Chorale, Charlene May Fibre and Pearly Ann Broncano. The night will be capped by a Ballroom Dancing for our lolos and lolas to reminish their heydays.
The Local Tourism Office headed by Ms. ANNA JOY CONLU BADURIA takes the frontline to ensure the success of this unique undertaking in coordination with the Municipal Senior Citizens Affairs Office headed by Mr. BIENVENIDO PLAZO, President of the Senior Citizens Federation.

TIG-AW CHRISTMAS FESTIVAL LAUNCHED
The Local Government Unit of Tigaon, in celebration of the Yuletide Season launches the 1st TIG-AW CHRISTMAS FESTIVAL on December 15, 2012.
As a gesture of thanksgiving, the celebration will be opened with the Switch-On of a Giant Christmas Tree at the Parish Patio. Immediately follows will be a Cultural Competition that will showcase young talents in their interpretation and repertoire of the “Pastores a Belen” Dance.
The night will also stage students from different schools to fill the air with Yuletide Carols in their angelic voices in the Choral Competition.
Highlighting the event will be the parade of eFLOATS around the mainland towns of Partido. Marking the event with another milestone, the launching of the town’s website WWW.TIGAON.GOV.PH takes place. The night will be capped with the Awarding Ceremony at the New Tigaon Public Market Plaza.
Mayor Arnie will not let the festivities end without recognizing the town’s Barangay Health Workers, Literacy Workers, Day Care Workers and Volunteer Teachers when during the affair, as a gesture of gratitude, they shall be receiving their yuletide surprises from the mayor.
